Position Overview

We’re seeking talented Blockchain Engineers to join our core development team. This role focuses on the development and optimization of key components such as consensus mechanisms, virtual machines, and networking, etc. While you’ll primarily collaborate with a remote team of experienced engineers, there will occasionally be opportunities to work onsite during offsite sessions to support onboarding and enable more efficient collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Blockchain core development
    • Develop, integrate, and optimize core blockchain components, including consensus, virtual machines, P2P networking, RPC, etc.
    • Conduct benchmarking and stress testing to identify and address potential performance/throughput bottlenecks.
  • Testing and quality assurance
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive suite of unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code reliability and functionality.
  • Collaboration and documentation
    • Work closely with DevOps, SecOps, QA, project managers, etc.
    • Maintain thorough and clear documentation for codebases & architecture design.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Rust: At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Rust, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Blockchain Expertise: Deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including consensus mechanisms, virtual machines, P2P networking, RPC protocols, and related technologies.
  • Proven Contributions: Demonstrated track record of contributing to blockchain projects in public repositories.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Contributions to Ethereum clients such as Reth, Erigon, or Nethermind.
    • Development experience with high-throughput consensus mechanisms like Narwhal & Bullshark, HotStuff, or similar protocols.
