STAR Points, Rebalanced: More Rewards for Active Users
Startale App, Startale's SuperApp optimized for Soneium and Ethereum, is built to be more than a wallet. More than money. It's where everyday onchain actions from opening your Startale App, checking in, completing missions and playing with our Mini Apps translate into rewards.
Here's what's changing.
STAR Points were created to recognize that participation. Beginning July 30, we'll be introducing updates to how STAR Points are earned, evolving the system to place greater emphasis on consistent, meaningful engagement across the app.
Whether you're checking in with GM, completing missions, or actively participating in the ecosystem, your ongoing activity will continue to play an important role in STAR Points accumulation.
What's Changing and What's Staying the Same
1. Daily GM, 10x more points: Every 10 GMs now earn you 10 STAR Points, up from 1. Your daily check-in just got a lot more valuable.
2. Monthly Missions, now with bigger rewards: Each month's mission campaigns will now award around 100 to 150 STAR Points in total, making mission completion one of the fastest ways to earn STAR Points.
3. Liquidity Provision will earn you points from day 1: LP points now start accruing immediately from the day you deposit. We're removing the 30-day waiting period, so eligible liquidity positions can begin earning STAR Points immediately. The minimum liquidity provision remains at $10. From 30 July 2026 onwards, liquidity providers will now earn 0.0025 STAR Points per $1 of liquidity provided per day. Duration multipliers remain unchanged and continue to be based on how long you have held your position. If you already have an active multiplier, it will carry over automatically.
- 1-30 days: 1x
- 31-60 days: 1.2x
- 61-90 days: 1.4x
- 91-120 days: 1.6x
- 121-150 days: 1.8x
- 151+ days: 2x
Here's how this looks in practice:
Example 1: Long-term provider with $4,000 in LP (since December 2025)
Holding for 241 days, this user has a 2x multiplier. Under the previous system, they earned 80 points per day. From July 30th, they'll earn 20 points per day, same multiplier, new rate.
Example 2: New provider depositing $1,000 on July 30th
Under the previous system, they would have earned nothing for the first 29 days, then 10 points per day from day 30. Under the new system, they start earning 2.5 points per day immediately from day 1.
Example 3: A smaller position with $200 held for 151+ days
Under the previous system, this user has already reached a 1.8x multiplier, earning 3.6 points per day. Under the new system, the same 151 days now qualify for the top 2x tier, but the lower per-dollar rate means this position now earns 1.0 point per day.
4. Referral Program: You will continue to earn 10% of the points your referred friends earn, which are now capped at 200 points per month.
What You Need to Do
No specific action is required for now; continue to explore and participate in our missions and GMs to earn more STAR Points. All changes will apply automatically from July 30th at 10 AM UTC.
