Astar DevRel Manager

Job Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated Developer Relations (DevRel) Manager to bridge the gap between Astar and the developer community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for engaging with developers, advocating for Astar’s ecosystem, and providing technical guidance to ensure a seamless developer experience. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, communication skills, and community-building experience to foster a thriving developer ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for Astar by engaging with developers, partners, and Web3 communities.
  • Educate developers through technical content, including blog posts, documentation, and tutorials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with developers, helping them integrate and deploy projects on Astar.
  • Organize and participate in hackathons, meetups, conferences, and online events to promote Astar’s ecosystem.
  • Gather feedback from the developer community and collaborate with the product and engineering teams to improve the platform.
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to developers using Astar’s tools, SDKs, and APIs.
  • Stay up-to-date with Web3 development trends, tooling, and best practices to ensure Astar remains at the forefront of innovation.
  • Foster a strong and inclusive developer community across various social and technical platforms (Discord, Twitter, GitHub, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in developer relations, software engineering, or a related technical role.
  • Strong understanding of blockchain technologies, smart contracts, and Web3 development.
  • Experience in technical writing, documentation, or content creation for developers.
  • Excellent public speaking and communication skills for engaging with developer communities.
  • Hands-on experience with smart contract platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Polkadot, or Astar).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and marketing teams.
  • Proven track record of building and supporting developer communities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in open-source contributions or managing developer advocacy programs.
  • Familiarity with Astar, Polkadot ecosystem, or other Layer-1 blockchain platforms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Rust, Solidity, or TypeScript.
  • Experience organizing developer events, workshops, or hackathons.
  • Knowledge of tokenomics, blockchain governance, and decentralized applications (dApps).
